Introduction to Zangdrup
Zangdrup is a sacred herbal mixture traditionally used in Buddhist rituals and spiritual practices. It is composed of six primary aromatic plant species — Aru, Baru, Churu, Zati, Lishi, and Signal — along with many other medicinal and fragrant herbs. This sacred blend holds significant religious and cultural importance.
Use of Zangdrup
Zangdrup is used in various rituals such as incense offering (sang), smoke offering (sang-sol), sur offering, and other ceremonial practices. Beyond ritual offerings, this herbal powder is also mixed into the construction materials of stupas, statues, temples, and sacred objects, serving as a spiritual offering, source of fragrance, and a means to sanctify the structures as per religious tradition.
Additionally, Zangdrup is mixed with water and milk during offerings to local deities, for cleansing rituals, and in consecration ceremonies, symbolizing purity, blessings, and the fulfillment of religious norms.

Zim-Poi (Drizang Kuenchap)
Zim-Poi, traditionally known as “ Palace Incense “ holds a significant place in Himalayan Buddhist spiritual practices. Distinct with its rich reddish color, this incense was once a rare and precious offering, historically reserved for royal palaces and high ceremonial rituals due to the scarcity of its unique and valuable ingredients.
Jaju Poi (Vegetarian Incense)
Vegetarian incense, free from alcohol and animal-derived ingredients, holds a special and meaningful place in Buddhist morning rituals. Reverently crafted to honor vegetarian deities, this incense symbolizes purity, compassion, and spiritual discipline. Widely used in Buddhist cleansing rituals, smoke offerings (sang), and altar offerings, Sang Drizang Kuenchap carries a natural, soothing aroma believed to purify the environment, clear negative energies, and invoke blessings.
Zangdrup
Zangdrup is a sacred herbal blend used in Buddhist rituals and spiritual practices. This fragrant blend is carefully prepared following ancient spiritual practices and burned at dusk as a compassionate offering to wandering spirits, hungry ghosts (preta), and other unseen beings believed to roam the world, seeking nourishment, comfort, and release from suffering through the generosity of the living.
